How Do I Fix Windows Update? - Ask Leo!

Windows Update can get confused or stuck. I'll review ways to fix Windows Update, including what I refer to as the "nuclear option".

Problems with Windows Update can be very, very frustrating. There’s often no specific fix for whatever specific situation you’re faced with, but fortunately, Microsoft has added a troubleshooter, and also outlined a ‘nuclear’ option: resetting Windows Update. Leo has included some useful scripts that just might save the day.

Activity Fix?

I don't know if this is happening to anyone else, but since my iphone 4 won't get the new tumblr update it has this habit now of timing out every time I hit the activity button. @staff I'm sure you're really busy keeping up with the new update, and you're doing a great job! But could you please see if you can make the old update useable for the broke trash like me who are still using it?😕

HOW TO FIX THE NEW TUMBLR REBLOG LAYOUT! - VERSION 3

So right now I have a bunch of asks looking for a tutorial  on how to fix the most recent update.  I’m going to talk you through a quick fix, with some visual aids to help you.  It’s only five steps and all links you’ll need are included!

I’ve only tried this on Chrome , I do not know if it works in other browsers. 

So without any further interruptions the Tutorial

1. Alright so if you have the latest version of X-Kit you’re already one step a head of the game. If you don’t download it here.  But if you’re like me and the new X-Kit update doesn’t work no need to fear there is an app called ‘New X-kit’ that handles that! (Make sure to only use one and not both.)  So here is the link to that! Add it to Chrome and wait for it to download

2. Now open up tumblr make sure you’re not Incognito because your extensions won’t work. If you have tampermonkey, or greasemonkey scripts on make sure to turn them off. (Don’t worry this fix also allows you to cut posts) People have been saying using both at the same time has been messing things up more.  X-Kit should launch up, and you need to click on the X-Kit logo  in the top bar.

3. Now this should open up the X-Kit menu.  Go down to the bottom and click ‘Get extensions’ , Scroll down through the menu until you find one called ‘Editable Reblogs’ , do not mix it up with ‘Edible Reblogs’ there joke one which is located beside it.  Click Install

4. Once it’s installed, close the menu,  and refresh your page. Now when you go reply the entire post should show up. EXCEPT if you mess with the url’s. So if you’re used to coding your partners name, you can no longer do that. 

So now it should turn your reblogs from looking like this.

We have found a (likely temporary) solution to the weird stuff that’s been happening on the dash!

If you’re using new xkit or the wolfspirals tumblr update fix and your partner’s last reply has been disappearing on the dash when you reply, all you have to do is italicize your partner’s url in the beginning of their reply and it will re-appear. It messes with things a little but, but it’s better than things disappearing altogether!

The extention gallery isn’t loading and I am going nuts. Does anyone know how to fix thet? I have already reinstalled it several time. Help?

Tumblr update fix

Oh my God so I just got this update, and now Tumblr is back to normal.

It’s such a relief to have the block quotes back,especially having Asperger’s Syndrome, which makes change difficult to live with. Now I’m wishing I got XKit ages ago (which I would have if it worked with my old browser.

But yeah, it’s a great fix, and I’d definitely recommend it.

Aww thank you hun! I was talking about this extension, which works perfectly. My dash looks exactly like it did before the update. :)
