So Porsche wasn’t much help. Porchay doesn't really want to ask Ohm for advice, since he hasn't actually told Ohm much of anything that’s been going on… and Mine only knows that Porchay had his heart broken by “that psycho who dislocated Sun’s jaw”. 

...He still brings it up sometimes...

Porchay goes back to his message chain with Kim and scrolls through their recent exchages.

‘Fuck it’ he thinks. 

And sends Kim a text this time.

Sweat is disgusting. Kenma hates how sticky it makes his skin, and how the pungent scent of it varies from person-to-person. Watching droplets of sweat run down Bokuto’s face and limbs, covering his skin in a glossy shine before dripping to the floor makes Kenma cringe for reasons he doesn’t want to confess. Ever.

Kim scrolls through Reddit.

Kim scrolls through Pinterest.

Kim scrolls through Google Images.

Kim scrolls through any website he can find when he types “memes” into the search bar.

He has a folder in his gallery now where he keeps images to send to Porchay.

These days he often finds himself spending his spare time looking for memes so he’s ready for whatever Porchay sends him next.

Though sometimes Porchay will send him a meme, and he can’t find one in his folder that feels like a good enough response, and so he will spend another ten minutes scrolling through various websites until he finds one that he likes.

He tries not to think about how pathetic he’s become.

He hasn’t seen Porchay in person since they broke up outside Kim’s apartment building.

Its been... a long time now...

Porchay is obviously avoiding him. Not that he makes it difficult to do, what with keeping away from the compound as much as he can get away with.

Kim wants to ask him how he’s doing.

But he can’t figure out a way to do that through memes.

Kim wants to talk to Porchay.

Kim wants to see him in person again.

Kim wants to send him a normal fucking message.

Kim wants….

Part 1. 05

Kim really doesn’t know what the fuck he’s doing.

But Kim wants to know how Porchay is doing. The bodyguard at the compound that he has reporting back to him tells him Porchay has been spending some of his time in the medical wing of the compound, assisting here and there where he can. He’s also been spending time in the kitchen, helping prepare meals and learning to cook. And in the gardens, helping out there too.

And sometimes he spends the evenings with Tankhun, doing God knows what, because no one Khun hasn’t invited directly is allowed into his rooms.

The guard does not tell him if Porchay is still making music.

Shit. What does that even mean? Is Porchay… not fine? 

How does he even respond to that? What was he thinking, trying to talk to Porchay like this?

Kim really does not know what he’s doing.

Kim scrolls through his message history with Porchay. It’s been weeks now, but still they haven’t exchanged any actual words with each other.

Kim doesn’t know what he’s supposed to do here... is it okay to just send Porchay a regular text? He wants to... he wants to talk to Porchay normally again, but he doesn’t know if he’s allowed to.

Would Porchay even respond to him if he did? Would he fuck up whatever delicate bridge they’ve built here? Kim doesn’t want Porchay to block him again. He did start this... maybe he should let Porchay decide if it should be anything more.

On one hand, Kim is thrilled that Porchay responded to his ridiculous message. On the other hand, he doesn’t really know where to go from here. He supposes he has no one to blame but himself. At least Porchay hasn’t left him on read this time. 

Kim contemplates his phone for a long moment... and then sends Porchay another image.

Two Kinds of Happiness

"Bill, honey," his mom says, glancing at him from across the table. "I been thinking."

Oh, God, he thinks, and the side-eyes from his brothers and sisters tell him they're thinking the same. He came over for dinner instead of hitting up a bar with Babe for once, and if his mom's been thinking, he regrets his decision. "'Bout what?" he asks.

"You oughta go to physical therapy for that leg of yours. Had a friend who had wonders worked when she went, you know. Got in an accident at work with some acid that ate up some of her leg." She's looking at him so sweet that his throat dries up- or maybe it's a knot signaling tears to come from spending money he doesn't have.

Either way, he coughs and nearly chokes on his next mouthful of chicken alfredo. "Ain't that expensive?" he asks, after he's done beating his chest with a closed fist and taking a sip of water. The last few times he's come to dinner, she's brought up solutions to the funk she's dreamt up for him.
