Up Goer Five: Tesseracts
You might be wondering what something above a box looks like. You have the box with the four same lines. Then the box with the six same boxes. You ask yourself, what is next? Well, it is easy! The next step is a box made of some number of those six sided boxes! As it turns out, that box can be made of two more boxes than before! You just need to move these boxes in a direction you can't see. You can go left and right, up and down, forward and back. But this one is towards a way these are not. But just as you move those four line boxes "up" from where they sit, you move these six sided boxes "up" from where they sit, in a direction they do not already sit. What would this weird box of boxes of boxes look like to you? It is also easy. When you look into any one of these sides, it would be like you are looking into a box! But here's the thing. It would look like you are looking into a different box from every side! It would look like the little room inside the box from one side is painted a different color from other sides you look into the box. They would also have different stuff inside of it! So you ask me. "Alright, here are six boxes! Where are the other two boxes you promised?" I will tell you where they are. Do you see the back of the boxes? The wall on the far side of the box from each side? Do you see how there are six of these far sides? Each of these boxes are right next to each other. They make, you guessed it, another box! It is on the very inside of the box. It is another room! But you can't see it. It is just like these other rooms! Where is the remaining box, you ask? Look at the whole thing. The whole thing is a box, isn't it? That's the remaining box. But just like if you placed a six sided box in a two direction world, you would only see the sides and not the top or bottom box, you can't see the room that the outside box and the inside box makes, even though they are both rooms! That is how these boxes would look to you!
