Wind & Water Tight (WWT) containers are often used as storage containers. While they can no longer be stacked 7-high while loaded, they are still structurally sound and weather tight. All WWT containers can be repaired to CWO.
I’m trying to decide how feasible this is.
I could buy a shipping container. High-cube, 40ft. Less than $3000, plus delivery.
Around this property is a good amount of what I would need to make it livable. I’d need interior insulation and wallboard, and underflooring of some kind. But I’ve got tile, wood, door hardware, light fixtures, cabinetry, I think there’s even a double-paned window leaning against the back of the house.
2. Time. I’m keeping an eye on dad, trying to clean up the property, and sort though rooms full of…stuff.
3. Me. Call it executive dysfunction, call it laziness, call it dumbass anxiety, but I’m scattered and have trouble starting at the beginning and going until I come to the end.
So we’ll see. In the meantime, maybe I can concentrate on paying down my credit cards so I could do it, if I decide to. And maybe I’ll set one up in SL, to scale. See what’s possible.
