platonic undyne and sans? just some brotp material? some acquaintances to co-workers to acquaintances to friends action? it's my friendship rarepair (god i'm loving these sm - the asgore/toriel one gave me chills)

What is it that would make this worth it, she thinks when she first meets him, because he’s late and times his breaks to the most inconvenient minute, his jokes are stale, his work ethic is lazy, he seems the worst of Undyne’s options as she looks for new recruits but there’s no one else who’s applying for the shifts he does, for the positions he does, and she’s got to hire someone. 

His brother complains about him, which doesn’t endear Sans anymore to Undyne than his work habits do, but she meets him at Grillby’s, and sees him with Alphys, bag of dogfood in hand, stepping between her and the wet side of the board walk, he tells jokes by the star room, and tosses a cup of water at Undyne when she walks by his station in Hotland. 

Sans isn’t inscrutable but he doesn’t have to be if no one tries to look further than his smile--it’s perhaps the trait both brother’s share strongest between them--and Undyne makes the conscious decision to not look too closely when she sees snow draped across his Hotland stand and he doesn’t mention it when her eyepatch glints in the light like she’s caught a gem there; it’s the small things, she surmises now, the deliberate choices they make between each other that makes it worthwhile.

Honestly I recommend going to N/A’s character page to learn more, she has a really interesting backstory! In all honestly I should have added more leaves to her hair to really complete disappeared-into-the-woods look.

i chose [this incredible piece] which i’ve loved since you posted it! There was no way I could replicate the feeling of the rad almost wood-cut style and gorgeous coloring you having going on. And like, the feeling is SUPER good and highkey “despite everything it’s still you” pops straight into my head everytime i see it 

it’s like... im not in your head so idk the exact concept you were going for but it feels like a perfectly executed artwork. so this is just the companion concept which.... i’ve wanted to do since your posted the original piece. adkfjdaskljfa all your artwork is WAY TOO inspiriational for my own good. thank you again!!
