Resurfacing
Hi, hope you’re all having a wonderful month filled with Mermay magic! And here’s my first piece for it, although not with some creative liberties 😊 Part of the inspiration came from the Pokédex entry on Dewgong, which says that, back in the earlier days of the Pokémon universe, sailors would frequently mistake the fin for the that of a mermaid
I do have some original pieces planned out, but I decided to start with this one because I simply couldn’t get the idea off of my head… I used watercolors, colored fine liners and acrylic markers
