KIP idk about you but im going feral about the possibilities for control 2 even tho we don't even have a timeline yet about how long they've been out of the internal lockdown at the time of the game (they wouldn't be in lockdown for nearly five years, right remedy?????)

If they have it be a few years post-lockdown and we get that sweet sweet sibling angst i might actually never shut up about it

do you have any thoughts based on the very little we know so far yet 👀

SAME SAME SAME me literally right now as we speak:

GOSH i really have no thoughts at all because i'm not sure where they'll go with it-- there's so many places TO go that i'm left just sort of standing her vibrating excitedly

part of me wants/wonders if we'll get to play through sections as dylan-- still asleep, experiencing other planes while he dreams (the astral is a mental plane, but still real-- where has dylan gone while comatose?)

part of me wonders how much alan is going to play into this (they're bound to continue to crash into each other, right? though maybe not a full crossover, but continual paths crossing-- i feel like alan has knowingly/unknowingly written himself as a willing/unwilling villain so he can finally escape in a "satisfying" way for the narrative he's writing)

part of me feels like they can't rehash the hiss again, unless the hiss has evolved, or something WORSE than the hiss has escaped-- or something new, another resonance

but then again, there is SO much out there-- animate growling tractors, melted-dog-boys, dung monkeys, not-mothers, living resonances, darkness, not-quite-mold, formers and boards-- I want to see WEIRD things, CREATURES and NOT QUITE CREATURES

i want to see other paranatural groups, because the FBC is not the only one, and Bless can't be the only one either-- I wanna see a way to understand the paranatural world outside of the boxes the FBC has built, I wanna see everyone we've met grow and struggle in their roles,

I've been quite busy this semester, BUT things might be mentally calming down so im back to commit word crimes >:D

I'm not gonna do full NaNo, but I'm planning on getting back into writing Petal, Pedal and maybe write some fun stuff for GSR!

I am super happy that you're getting a bit of a mental break! Good luck on partial Nano, I'm very excited to see more of your posts.

I actually do not have any pets! Never have before. All of my ghost-finding has been on my own. In Japan, we have a concept called reikan that indicates the sensitivity that people have towards ghosts, spirits, and other things like that.

I actually have a decent reikan and have a couple of ghost experiences. My relative's reikan is off the charts and it's insane, she has so many stories.

I'm a pretty spiritual person due to my Shinto and Buddhist beliefs. I'm a firm believer in science but I also believe in the existence of kami, spirits and the existence of people who've passed on.

Hopefully if I do run into any ghosts, they'll be my family and ancestors here to keep me company!

22. Nap

Sunlight grazed the tips of his fingers with a glowing warmth where they hung down below the sail’s cast shadow. George rocked slowly in the hammock to the rhythm of the waves shoving the ship’s hull, eyes half-lidded as he watched the clouds carrying the sunset’s colours above. He raised his hands in a stretch above his head, setting them crossed behind his neck as he finally settled into a well-deserved nap.

Or, well. He would’ve.

“GEORGE!!!”

If the rambunctious child known as Colin didn’t leap spinning into the hammock with him. George barely caught himself on his hands and knees as they both tumbled out of the bedding with a giant THUMP.

He sat up, rubbing the back of his head as he turned to see the gleeful excitement in Colin’s beaming face. George blinked tiredly, but that didn’t stop the smile from appearing on his own.

“… Aye, Colin?” The boy was near jumping out of his own skin, vibrating on the ship’s deck to a rattling of boards and lines and ratlines. Hm. Maybe that’s why they called them that.

He lifted his hands, his fingers cupped around something hidden away inside them. “I!! FOUND!! A THING!! YOU LIKE SEE IT?”

George chuckled. “And what did ye find, huh?”

“A—” Colin paused, lifting away one of his hands with a dramatic flourish to reveal a tiny green critter, the creature confused out of its mind. “A LIZARD!! I FOUND LIZARD!”

It seems like a neat name! If it was for mcsm, maybe something PAMA related? Honestly, if it was, it would probably be more about Lukas and/or Petra dealing with the after effects than about PAMA itself. On the other hand, maybe it wouldn’t have anything to do with PAMA. A while ago, I wrote a fic about Ellegaard secretly building an android Magnus as an attempt to bring him back, so maybe a sequel or a continuation to that?

Hey there Undine!!! :D I'm currently in the middle of finals (definitely shouldn't be finishing my anthropology paper right now), but somehow I managed to only have tests on thursday and friday so it's been mostly a waiting game.

How have you been, though? Have you been writing anything at all, or has it been more of a focus on the fun thing that is college? :P

Also you better have been getting that good good sleep between your papers!!! Sleep is important!

Oof good luck on finals. I believe in you, I know that you can get through this!!! I always hated having the exams on the last few days of finals week. It was always stressful to have to wait (and pack to go home) while also definitely not studying.

I've actually been getting a ton of writing done! The ridiculously long WIP that I've been writing with my writing partner reached 750k words recently (no don't worry its not going to get published ever, we're not that crazy), and we also started a new one!

The new WIP is essentially a sequel to an old favorite that never quite manages to get off the ground. We're writing 10 years post-original concept, and it's been a really nice mix of revisiting an old, cherished setting while doing something completely new!!

You'd think that juggling 2 projects at once would make our word count go down for one project but nope. It actually increased, and we've been averaging 5k a day.

During finals, of course 😜

I'm done with all my papers now and I feel pretty good about them so! Super excited to be able to guilt-freely work on those two projects. And who knows? Maybe I'll even get back to my solo projects to have more to talk about on my blog.

For the first time since I was like... 14, I'm actually having a fantastic sleeping pattern! I go to bed at like 10PM, aim to go to sleep by 11PM. Even if I stay up suuuuper late, I'm still generally asleep by 12AM. On the really late nights by 1AM, which rarely happens at this point And even then it's a huge accomplishment because I uses to stay up till 2 or 3.

Am I a boring adult with a boring sleeping schedule now? Yes. Have I been getting sleep though?? ALSO YES

Can't wait to destroy all of that over winter break, and suffer when it's over 💔

Have you been able to decompress by writing or doing something other than school?
