Got around to visiting Urban Backyard in Nolita a few days ago, and with complete transparency, I went to get some of the mini-succulent cupcakes that this lifestyle coffee shop seems to be best-known for. Aesthetically, the cupcakes definitely didn’t disappoint and were almost too beautiful to eat and I managed to get all the four available flavors at the time: Almond vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, and flourless chocolate cupcakes. It was nice that they had some vegan options too, and I’d say the red velvet cupcake was my favorite, though the flourless chocolate cupcake was also interesting due to the brownie-like texture. Anywho, if pretty cupcakes are your thing, then Urban Backyard is certainly worth a visit.
