As I was walking away from putting this 7ft cardboard figure up, a middle-aged lady pulled up in her SUV in the middle of the road and asked if I was just taking pictures or if I’d drawn it. I hesitated a moment then admitted to having drawn it, expecting a scolding. Instead she told me that it was ‘neat’ and asked if it was an octopus. After telling her ‘kinda like an octopus’ she thanked me, re-iterated the ‘neat’ness of it, and drove off into the sunset.
