About a month ago I volunteered to chaperone a high school camping trip. I figured it’d be easy: I’d spend a few days in the sun, get some hiking in, catch up on Game of Thrones and, if I had the time, relay some of the wisdom I’ve picked up to the high school kids I’d be hanging out with.
None of that happened.
