Waking up disoriented and sick at 4pm on April fools feels like gods curse

theres this boy in my philosophy class who has such old fashioned warped opinions on things like trans and gay people, sometime i just look at him like "how can u live this way"

he thinks its unnatural for someone to want to change gender and you have to stay as you were born, he thinks women should "conform to gender roles" (i.e. must have children and be feminine), and that people cant possibly be born gay or born feeling like theyre the wrong gender, it must come from the media and bad parenting????

hes like "being gay is unnatural, god will punish them" then 5 mins later he said "if someone i knew was gay i would be fine with them" !!(yeah right, i felt like standing up and going "well im gay" and i bet he would treat me differently after) he also said that "being gay is a personal problem, people should just keep it to themselves, its nothing to do with me" weLL THEN WHY ARE YOU VOICING UR HORRIBLE OPINIONS

he also said that if someone he knew had gender reassignment or changed their pronouns, he would "refuse to call them a boy if they were born a girl". That isnt just his little 'personal choice', its highly offensive to purposefully misgender someone and call them unnatural.

i forget that people like this still exist, everyone thinks that its just old white men who are prejudiced and sexist etc, but seeing a fairly intelligent 16 year old boy say these things reminds me that trans/homophobia is still very much alive.
