There was an idea,....
Basing these two idiots on pain and panic was my first good idea this year
Would a Skeksis+urskek=urskekskek? Or skekurskek? 🤔
Skeksis + Urskeks will turn into Urskes again, the DNA of the Urskeks overpower the weak skeksis DNA ;D
Seeing that exert of the comic, where Chamberlain and the Chanter speak to Kensho ... I do not have all of the context, but I do recall that in the Power of the Dark Crystal, when the Crystal is truly reborn, skekSil and skekSol appear to die ... skekSol looks to quietly accept it.
But they do not seem to join the urSkeks again, no. In the afterlife, they’re still split. I think SilSol still needs even more time to pull himself together again, literally. I wish we could've known more about SilSol.
I’ve been in the Dark Crystal fandom for a while. I don’t quite remember who said SilSol was the urSkek who caused the division. But his MAIN characteristic is that he is a Musician. There is a particular urSkek song he is very possessive and protective of.
And SilSol is the Chanter, and skekSil is always humming that whimper of his. So logically, it seems to be him.
and who is the worst of the skeksis, willing to murder their own? And who still couldn’t find peace in being one again?
The panel in the comic where skekSil and urSol come to reality-check makes it look like the two are finally beginning to collaborate.
In other words, I hope SilSol someone finds peace.
An on a side note -
The flute that Jen uses. That Kylan uses. There’s a gelfling called Gyr who heard the urSkek song, and played it to him, and this is what made him distraught. I don’t know, seeing the flute appear in the series reminds me of what happened. Gyr said it was the saddest thing he’d ever heard.
I wonder what the tune is.
The tragic thing is, SilSol was not evil. He was just in so much pain.
He just wanted to go home.
