Hi, I'm 16 and a mezzo. I have an audition for Urleen in Footloose and I've been told I need an uptempo song. Please could you possibly give me some ideas as to what I could sing? Thank you!

So after three long tearful days of auditions for Footloose we now know who everyone is. I am proud to say that I am Urleen, one of Ariel's best friends. A huge thank you to my directors for having so much faith in me. I will not let you down and I will give it my 110%

Anyone who knows the musical Footloose very well:

Hey there, I just got cast in a community theater version of Footloose as Urleen. Don't know the show all that well, didn't even know that this particular character existed (REALLY went into this audition blind), but I am desperate to do some sort of show over the summer...the only other issue I have is I don't know the company doing it that well, the dance portion of the audition was extremely easy (I thought it was supposed to be hard because it was Footloose...?) and the pianist at the audition looked at my sheet music (Diva's Lament from Spamalot)  and said, "oh, I don't know this one, might as well just sing this a cappella..."

Seems at least slightly sketchy, right? Anyway...if you can advise, please message me.

should I even bother doing this show? Is it worth it?
