Rodan is apparently a female in this continuity. Monster Island exists in the Kai-Sei Era. Ebirah is much more powerful than the Showa version.

We get three new Kaiju: Styrga (a giant sturgeon), Ursogar (a giant bear), and Black Hart (a giant elk). Out of the three newcomers, Black Hart's design is probably the most boring (he's just a giant elk with spikes on his neck and glowing green patches). May is an avatar of Biollante.
