You know how in Les Mis Marius used to go for a walk in this park and then noticed this weir old man with a skinny, goofy-looking young girl sitting on a bench occasionally and didn't really think much of it? Then this girl gets her puberty and suddenly Marius is like WHO IS THIS ANGEL I MUST DIE IF I CAN'T BE WITH HER and spends like months sniffing a handkerchief he found on the ground that actually belonged to Jean Valjean.

And this is basically the culminating love story of this brick of a book. Like Yeah, I did not actually have a point with this, but it's just something to think about
