Harvest Festival Cooking for Uruka and Magh Bihu 🎑🔥🌾🍚

Shalgam Bharta or Turnip Curry | Chicken Ghee Roast | Aloo Pitika or Mashed Potatoes with Mustard Oil, Onions, and Chillies | Red Lentil Fritters

Uruka marks the end of the harvest season. It's a night of festivities, bonfires, feasting, and building big houses made of hay, where people sometimes spend the night too. The next day the hay houses are burnt as an offering to the god of fire and Magh Bihu is celebrated with more food!

The food is usually rich in ingredients like butter, ghee, mustard oil, cream, etc. as it's eaten in very cold weather, sometimes outdoors. But it uses simple ingredients like grains, and various vegetables that are roasted over the fire or cooked inside bamboo reeds, or just in the kitchen! Fish is a must, besides other non-vegetarian foods, although I only made chicken curry.

This time I didn't make any desserts because I still have so many sweets and cakes left. But a large variety of traditional desserts called Pitha are made for the festival using rice, sticky rice, lentils, coconut, sesame, milk, and jaggery.

Similar festivals are celebrated all across the country such as Makar Sankranti, Lohri, and Pongal. Happy Uruka to all who celebrate!

I dropped"We never learn" a long time ago cos it's filled with fan service and also I couldn't stand how ppl kept shitting on my girl Uruka. Until recently I heard that she ends up with the MC that I read it again and GOD FUCKING DAMNIT THE DEVELOPMENT IS FUCKING GARBAGE! I've never NEVER seen any manga character has this little screentime in their OWN arc than Uruka. And there isn't any actual development either, just a bunch of rushed flashbacks that could've been easily thrown in those useless fan service chapters before, a dad ghost literally appeared from his grave to tell the MC who to choose and an ending can't be more cliche. Even the translator team seems to hate her since the her last chapter looks like it's edited by a toodle. And she appears less than a half in her own fucking chapter. But seem like it's not enough, the author punches me in the face with the "route" bullshit RIGHT AFTER MY GIRL GOT PROPOSED!!! LIKE! FOR FUCKING REAL ?????? IF YOU HATE HER THAT MUCH, WHY BOTHER MADE HER THE END GIRL, OR THE FIRST GIRL CANON ?????? WHY PUT THIS MUCH EFFORT INTO DISRESPECTING HER THIS HARD ?!?! JUST FUCKING SEND HER ASS TO ABOARD AND CUT HER OUT OF YOUR SHITTY HAREM STORY!!!

LITERALLY NO ONE AGAINST THAT!

My day is ruined and my disappointment is immeasurable.
