What fucks me up the most about US World History (the curriculum we’re taught in the US in regards to World History) is that for South/Central America we only learn post-Columbus. We have 3 exceptions: the Aztecs, Incans, and Mayans. And even those civilizations were only taught because they were going on during the colonization of the Americas. I’m trying to learn more about my Latin heritage because it’s a big part of who I am but I have to deep dive to get before the slavery and slaughter of the indigenous peoples.

Kwangju Foreign School (KFS) is a private, Pre-K-12 international school that offers an American curriculum to students residing in Gwangju, South Korea. KFS provides a comprehensive education for foreign students and Korean nationals from various countries and cultural backgrounds.

Kwangju Foreign School opened its first full academic year in March 1999 with 13 students.
