Personal
I just posted about my personal terror of studying abroad alone.
But one of my personal dreams since I studied French in high school many years ago (forgive me as a grad student - we’re old) was to visit Paris. I have dreamed of the day I would set foot in that city since I was thirteen. And that dream has not ended. It has not wavered. Of that moment, I am not afraid. I am rejoicing in a dream achieved. Of course, I pictured it with a hot guy I met with a moped, but we’ll ignore the aspects of the Olsen twin dreams right now for reality.
I will get to see the Louvre. And the Eiffel Tower. Versailles Palace. I will see the great sights for they are standing and the City of Love will not be dimmed. My childhood dreams of Paris live. As do the Parisians and the French and all those who’s families were attacked. As the Americans stood after 9-11, we will stand with Paris and cities across the world. And I can’t wait to step off that train.

20.09.2013 - Tecumseh Football
I went to a football game at THS today. It was pouring rain and we had to squeeze under an umbrella. We sat in the student section of our stadium and we all wore black (the colors of our school are black and orange). I went there with my German friend Mithra and we met a girl from Finland (also an exchange student at THS) and her friend and of course many of the other people from school that we know. Our team won the game and we went inside for the dance. The lunchroom was nearly completely dark and there was a DJ. The girls from Finland, Southkorea and Mithra and I felt a little uncomfortable because Americans dance... er let's say different. So we made our own little circle and showed each other how we dance in our countries. We went home at 11 pm and I was so tired!
Good night,
Jana xx
