The capital city of Oregon is often overlooked as a place to visit, but Willamette University's Hallie Ford Museum of Art is one of those hidden destinations that makes a trip worthwhile.

The museum's permanent collections consist of over 9,000 items, from ancient to contemporary, religious art, European, American, and Asian art. More importantly, the museum's local indigenous art collections are presented in a respective manner, in partnership with the Confederate Tribes of Grand Ronde.

The Portland Art Museum is the oldest existing art museum in the Pacific Northwest. Located in downtown Portland, Oregon, the museum consists of the main building, a ballroom building (an old Masonic temple), and the Northwest Film Center.
