the anticipation leading up to this photo was so incredible. after sitting outside of the arena for three hours, the teal tour bus appeared out of the corner of my eye and the tears immediately began. screams of excitement from everybody else in line followed. the reality began to sink in- this was my idol. and his team, all people who have helped saved my life. and they are right there, inside that bus seeing all of the people that are already here six hours before their show. i always wondered what it would be like to see so many people, knowing i impacted their lives. jake is truly incredible and i know he loves each and everyone that is part of the millertary.

I want to talk about meeting my idol, Jake Miller. In November I found out I was going to Jake Miller's concert, but there was some difficulties along the way (just like everything in life.) For awhile I thought I wasn't even going to be able to go, which devastated me in every way considering this was my chance to peruse one of my dreams of meeting him. My friend that had bought the tickets for my birthday decided that she didn't want to be my friend, so I no longer had a ticket.  I decided I wasn't going to miss this concert for anything, so I asked if my Christmas presents could be to see him perform. My wish came true, and I wouldn't change that choice for anything. His show was absolutely remarkable. I was front row in probably the best concert I have ever been to. Yes, front row. I was touching the stage the entire concert.  @airdubai was actually amazing, and I got to meet @t_tait ☺ They were great for opening, Everything about it was really great and just have everyone in the audience hope to believe in ourselves.  Now, Jake he is probably one of the nicest people I have ever met. He was so friendly and open with they crowd, answering questions and listening to what we had to say. Plus, all around he put on a fantastic show. He poured water on the crowd which my phone got drenched (whatever, it was worth it.) When I met him after the show I don't think words could describe how happy I was. I was in complete shock the whole time. He greeted me and gave me a half hug, haha I was in shock so I didn't really give a real hug. I had him sign a picture, and told him thank you for being my reason to smile. Even still to today I am happy, and probably will be happy for a long time. He changed my life in so many ways, and I wish somehow I could repay him.

From the start of junior year everything was so hard.. I met someone special that year 2011.. The only person I thought that could help me through school but no not at all I was a "rebound" I was used.. After I turned to drugs and alcohol as a way to get through so many things that life kept on throwing at me. School just seemed to get harder and harder, I have never been the smart child in the family.. I have always been the trouble, getting suspended from school, detention and bad grades.. but after all that happened in junior year everything just came  down hill for me.. My school work got worse, failing test and assignment one after another.. Summer before senior year came guess who came on .. On the radio.. yup that's right JAKE MILLER "a million lives" from that days I started spending my days on youtube searching all of his songs and then I came across "I'm Alright" Senior year came and things were starting to ease up but I started drinking more partying more smoking everything that came my way.. Weed and Vodka were seriously my best friend at that time.. Stupid right ,that was the only way I could get through my days..  Yes, I had some support by friends and some family but it just wasn't cutting it. I felt like I could never tell them what I was going through. Till this day my parents do not know I wanted to end it all. It's always so hard for me to talk to someone about any of it, I just could never talk about everything because I just felt so weak. Everyday I woke up with tears in my face asking "why am I still here" I could never answer that. All I could do was put my daily smile on my face and trust me it was never as easy as people make it seem but after all my horrible depression I looked forward to going home, putting my headphones and listening to Jake for the rest of the day.. As senior year kept going on my year it was getting so much better.. All I talked about at school was Jake but everyone was always like "eww he sucks" or "he's a faggot" all that went through my head was "if only you knew that hes the only reason I'm still sitting here" and after having Jake by my side during my senior year I started to drink way less and smoke less.. There was many times that I still had the urge of drinking and smoking and moved to cigarettes and black&milds.. I know gross.. Around that time I was thinking " what if I end it all right now"? It felt like a way better option at that time but then I listened to Jake's EP "The Road Less Traveled". I came across "Steven" and it couldn't have come at a better time.. That day I decided to not drink for my depression and cut down on the smoking because it's hard to quit just like that.. That song changed everything for me, it helped me think of everything. From the pain it would have caused my family to my close friends.. I just couldn't do it so I whipped the tears off my face, studied my butt off and made up my credits.. and guess who got to walk across the stage with my class!? CLASS OF 2013! I looked at my principal she hugged me with a huge smile and I said " I told you you'd see me walking across this stage" Jake helped me to never give up and now i can finally start focusing on my future to become a US soldier :D On September of 2013 I was turning 18 and my Best Friend gave me a huge surprise! SHE GOT ME TICKETS TO THE JAKE MILLER CONCERT IN DECEMBER 16 2013 !! ANAHEIM CALIFORNIA <3 we really didn't know how we were going to do because we live in Las Vegas and our parents did not want to pay for our trip and we didn't have anyway of getting there.. My best friend got us a little job in November and made enough money TO GO!! we went on a 6 hour bus ride to California :D my parents were still not so happy that I was going but I had already booked the hotel for two nights and the bus tickets there and back so they couldn't say no :D My Best friend was the first one up and she woke me up saying we are seeing JAKE IN CONCERT TODAY AHHH! I still didn't think it was real so I was just smiling :D We left the hotel and got there at like 11 am when the doors didn't open until 5pm .. So Best friend saw a couple of fans in line and she asked if that was the line and one was said yes but that line was only if we spent 20 $ or more in the house of blues store to get PASS THE LINE VOUCHER ! :D which meant we got in like 10 to 15 min before the regular line so we ran inside to buy some thing :D  we met some incredible millertary members that day it was sooo fun !! Then it was like 4:30, we were getting so excited and I see JP and scream my lungs out but he went to take pictures of the regular line :( but came by our line again and we ran or butts off to get a picture with him :D So after that we got to go in and we ran again to get FRONT ROW!! AND WE DID :) It was amazing!!! JAKE POINTED AND SMILED AT ME AND I SANG TO KEVIN ME AND YOU SMILED AND LOOKED AT ME :) sadly I didn't have MEET & GREET but I was determined to meet him no matter what! so me and Best friend walked almost all of downtown Disney to find his bus but nothing and we ended right back at the house of blues.. people were saying he had left but THE TRUE MILLERTARY knew he always tweeted when he couldn't meet us so we waited almost two hours after the concert and GUESS WHAT?! they the team came out and I got a picture with JAKE MOTHER F***ING MILLER !!!! AHH AND MY BABY KEVIN SMART!! best feeling ever ! the first thing I told Kevin was "I came from Vegas" and he gave me a huge smile :D they had to leave and I cried my eyes out because my best friend made all of that come true for me!!!! It was amazing!! then the next day it was time for us to come back to Vegas so I woke up to check my phone and me and best friend came out in Jake's Instagram picture! I was like so freaking happy but now we had to come to reality and we took a 9 hour bus ride back to Vegas because the bus kept stopping all over California but it was all so worth it!

BTW ME AND BEST FRIEND CAME OUT IN EPISODE 8 OF US AGAINST THEM GO WATCH IT

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Jacob Harris Miller twice. I discovered him a few years back, I honestly don’t know how I found him on YouTube but I’m glad I did. The first time I met him was at Pandora Presents. I was so flabbergasted i couldn’t speak he said 'do you want a picture' all i could do was shake my head yes. The second time was more intimate.  December 15th i didn’t buy m&g some fans told me someone was only there for Action item so I approached them and asked for the m&g and ended up meeting him again. I talked to JP and Andres. Edgar said he loved me and Jake looked at me and smiled so big and say hi and I dropped everything and went to him. My phone only had 5% and Andres phone died and so did JP so someone sent me the picture. I gave him a hug and gave him my bracelet.  He said ‘thank you so much’ he prob thought I was another fan but he helped me through so much. He saved me. Countless times. I’m grateful for everything.

My name is Maria and I met Jake on the last show of the Us Against Them Tour in Houston, Texas. Where to begin my story? Well, when Jake announced another tour, I was determined to meet him no matter what. When the tickets went on sale, my mom couldn't buy meet and greets so I had to wait a week before she could actually buy them. When my mom was going to buy meet & greets for me and my best friend, they had already sold out so I told her to just buy me floor seats. As soon as my mom handed me the printed tickets, I was freaking out and started doing a count down. I think I got on everyone's nerves because everyday I'd be like :"JIOFEHUIOHIHDFAKLH IM GONNA GO SEE JAKE MILLER IN (BLANK) DAYS". My concert wasn't till December and me and my friend would DM him like "YO we gonna get there at 10 am okay just to meet you". When December came around, I lost my hype for Jake's concert because my dad was hospitalized in critical condition with severe pneumonia..For the 2 weeks that my dad was in the hospital, I listened to nothing but Jake to cheer up. 3 days before the concert, my dad passed away and it hit me hard and I was thinking of selling the tickets because I was really not in the mood for having fun due to the fact that my dad passed and because I had two ear infections. My mom and some friends convinced me to go since it was my only Christmas gift and I was so hype for it. I decided to go to the concert. 

The day of the concert, I legit woke up at 7:30 am to get ready. I took my medicines and when I was done I went to pick up my friend. When we got to the venue, we looked around for a parking spot and every single lot was expensive. We found one that was in front of the venue that claimed to be only $10 so we decided to park there. When we went to go pay, we coughed up $20 -___- It was around 10 when we got the the place and we were legit standing in 40 degree windy weather waiting for Jake. We then decided to check all of the crews twitter to see if they had recently tweeted about the Houston show. The only one that tweeted was Kevin and from his tweet we thought that they where to get to the venue like 12:30 ish or 1:00. We decided to go walk around and stuff. We went to Forever 21 and Starbucks to charge our phones. It was 12 when we headed back to the venue and saw more millertary outside. So we just stood there until Jake's Tank showed up at 1:30.  When they arrived, there was legit 7 of us waiting for him, then within minutes the number doubled. We sang to get his attention. LOL. One by one Edgar, Kevin, JP, Joey, Scooter and Andres got off. SO we were standing there looking at our phones tweeting Jake to come out and then HE TOOK A PICTURE OF US AND TWEETED I SEE YOU. WE FREAKED OUT LOL. I wasn't feeling good I felt like throwing up because I was outside legit all day, so I decided to sit down and write Jake a letter. Yeah well, we were all distracted and when he came out, it legit took us 10 seconds to realize what was going on. I got up and ran to him and handed him a notebook that i had made for him & I TOLD HIM JAKE I MADE A NOTEBOOK FOR YOU AND HE WAS AWWW THANK YOU SO MUCH. When he went inside, I freaked out and told my friend that he took the notebook that our usernames where in there and we flipped and I almost cried.  By this time, my phone was at 45% so i decided to turn it off. While we were in line, a lady sold a M&G to a girl right behind us and I was like WHAT EVEN SHE COULD'VE ASKED ME, so then, another lady passed by with 2 M&G trying to sell them and I bought them and I flipped out.

I missed half of Jake's performance because I felt like I was gonna pass out, but when I was in the M&G, man I ... it felt amazing to know that I was going to meet one of my idols. I .. I was probably freaking out more than anyone else.. I didn't know what to tell him. So when it was my turn, I talked to JP and handed my phone to Joey and I hugged Jake and said hi, when the picture was taken I was like Hey Jake, I'm the girl who gave you the notebook early can you please read it it'd mean a lot and he was like I will , I promise. I .. I was.. he was amazing to think that I was gonna meet him was a dream, a goal, a mission and I completed it. I thank him every night in the DM's and its crazy. I still cannot believe I met him it was so surreal..

  I saw Jake on November first. And this part is going to get kind of weird. I was on my period and I thought to myself as my 11:11 wish "please if I meet Jakey I won't be on my period". About a day before the concert, I was done, so I texted one of my friends and was like WE ARE GONNA MEET HIM! and she was like okay Sheina what ever you say. Her dad was suppose to pick us up at 3:05 from school and take us down to Miami for the show. He came 5 minutes too late and the office wouldn't let him take us out. I was shaking. She was crying. When the bell finally rang, we sprinted out of class and did our makeup and changed in the car. We waited in line for about an hour and a half and we saw Andres come a film the line. The boys of AI came and greeted everyone. We didn't know who they were so we didn't take any pictures with them or anything. We had general admission tickets so we were pretty bummed that we didn't have meet and greets. I went to the show for my birthday. It wasn't my birthday that night, but it was my birthday present and it was my birthday celebration so I had a big sign. In the general admission section, there was like a bar that separated the VIP from us we were against that bar. Right before "my couch" jake saw my poster and BAM I was couch girl Miami. I still have the bag of chips hung up on my wall. There is a video on YouTube.
