🎥 - record my muse doing something
Fragments of other worlds gathered here- or so she’s been told once before. Places ethereal, ominous castles built of foreign stone, machines that fed from neither mist nor steam. This location was of similar oddity that she would have question from whose world should this venue originate were Ignis not visibly more relaxed and confident in his walk to enter without surveying this area.
“...Crow’s Nest Diner.” Beatrix would state, though not without caution.
Beatrix scrutinized the hideous bird sitting with arm outstretched for some time before coming to the conclusion that it’s sculpture should hope to regret creating such a thing. With the scrunching of dirt beneath her boots, she finally did make her way inside the diner where her temporary ally could be heard, without distress, further back where delicious aromas originated. Which led her to a more colorful contraption to her immediate left. Flashing lights, and eccentric characters painted onto its frame. Beatrix inspected it with unmasked curiosity.
Justice Monsters Five. Insert 10 gil.
Pressing a button, something shot from the machine, causing the general’s hand to sharply retract and pause as music reared up from a music box and instigate even more dancing lights. An odd contraption that would put Cid’s modern airship to shame and perhaps cause the Regent to drool over it rather than some bar whore. A few more punches to the same button and then another, making note of which did what.
Her face twisted in puzzlement, locating the objective of striking miniature beasts with a steel ball, unbeknownst playing the game rather poorly for some time. That is, until awareness of the moment returned and the sound of Ignis, or lack of, drew her attention back to the blonde male holding a device he would occasionally fumble with now aimed at her person. Beatrix’s cold demeanor abruptly returned.
“If you don’t wish it shattered, I suggest returning that apparatus to your pocket, Ignis.” Not so much from what he was doing with his cellphone, but rather the amusement behind it.
