Here's what you need to know about when and in what contexts you can use the Past Perfect in English
One of my advanced students wrote to me saying that he'd never really been able to get his head around the use of the past perfect in English and that he feels this is setting him back quite a bit now that he's working towards a Cambridge Advanced certificate. I decided to record myself explaining the whole nine about the past perfect and I sent it to my student. He told me it helped him a great deal, so I'm sharing the recording of the presentation in case you find it useful.
