Heres another useful video explaining design technologies from Teaching and Learning in South Australia. This video is super clear and has great real life examples of desing technologies. It really expands on the previous ACARA video I posted. Something which I had previously not expected from Design Technologies is the apparent emphasis on project management and the need for the student to acquire a deeper understanding of not just the processes that go into design but all the surrounding factors including creative thinking, problem solving and sustainability issues.
