Do you know Chibi Vampire Karin? I see that anime on december 2009, and this mounth i re-watch it! I very love it like the firs time i see that. If you don't know it, run to see! Farewell, Chibi Vampire

I just sold a bunch of my old books to a half-price store. Novels and manga I started collecting over twenty years ago.

Robotech. Ranma ½. Battletech. Negima. Pokemon. Harry Dresden. Harry Potter. Black Cat. Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

But by far the loss that hurts the most is the complete series of Chibi Vampire (“Karin”, in Japan).

It was just so damn cute, you guys. Sure, I had some issues with the ending, but it was the first romantic comedy I could remember where the relationship actually progressed.

It grew organically from an awkward, unwelcome partnership of circumstances into a genuine friendship where Karin and Kenta looked out for each other even before they became sincerely interested in each other.

Then the story went beyond “will they, won’t they” and explored a realistic courtship and dating period.

Then they actually get married and have a child at the end; an ending that sticks, since it comes up in the tangential sequel, “Aion”.

Karin and Kenta weren’t perfect people, but they were good children in trying situations, and I loved watching them love each other.

I hope that those books now find a new owner who will love them as much or more than I did.
