Titan Ruler Seeks Magic || Cronus and Hekate
“Cronus.”
“I have been told you wish to have audience with me?”
Long Time No See || Rhea & Cronus
You should have never came down here, Rhea...
...But I came all this way
Her thoughts were disagreeing with one another, that much was obvious which was strange for the titaness. Her mind was never conflicted or indecisive; however, with Cronus, her feelings and thoughts about her husband were uncertain.
Cronus was the love of her life, the one person she wanted to spend the rest of eternity with. She was his wife and vowed to be his one and only. Her promises of eternal love didn't seem to matter when he devoured their children and caused a war over the throne of Olympus though. Family meant everything to Rhea. Being a mother and having a family with her beloved husband was all she ever wanted and Cronus took that anyway for her. How could she forgive him for separating the mother from her babies? She had to chose him or their children when the War raged on. She choose their children he had taken her from at birth without a second though. The fact that he could hurt their children because he was power hungry and wouldn't give up his throne because he was to be the only ruler in his mind. They deserved her love, not Cronus.
She felt betrayed and expected more from him, so she hated him for the adversities he put through their family. But at the same time, she still loved him. Her feelings for him couldn't be easily forgotten; they were buried deep inside, only her disappointment and loathing would be known to the outside. So she loved and hated him, she couldn't choose what to settle her feelings on. She couldn't love him completely for what he had done but she couldn't hate him for he was still her husband and brother. She loved Cronus or at least the titan he was before everything fell apart.
Only visiting him in his prison would hurt and remind her of his crimes, but she could only stay away from him for so long. It had been centuries since they last seen each other. She had missed him in all honesty, but she wasn't going to reveal that fact to him or anyone else. As far as the everyone knew, her visit was to be a reminder that even after all these years, she still felt animosity toward his actions and possibly attempt to make him regretful what he has done. That was easier said than done though. Rhea knew his pride wouldn't allow him to feel any regret or guilt but she wasn't going to give up. She could be just as stubborn and pigheaded as her husband.
The titaness approached his cell with the confident and regal stride, holding herself together even if she was both eager and hesitant about their reunion. The titaness despised putting on façade of her true emotions but she couldn't let Cronus see for himself what she truly felt in her heart. He didn't deserve the love she still harbored for him or did he after all these centuries?
She kept walking toward the cell until stopping about a couple of feet in front of the bars. "Cronus," Rhea drawled, his name rolling slowly off the tip of her tongue.
