Kayle sighs under her breath as she shifts, turning over with a tiny grunt to face her husband before burying her face in the pillows again.
Stupid sunlight, she thinks blearily, and scoots closer until her burgeoning belly refuses to let her any closer to him. A muffled whine, and she drags the covers just a bit higher.
It was fantastic that she was pregnant. It was less fantastic when their child decided to kick her in the early morning.
It didn’t really matter that it was much later than she would have woken up far earlier before. She guarded her sleep vengefully now. It was deserved in her opinion, considering how much time she spent nauseous. At least that part ought to be over soon.
