I've talked about this before but I HC that Zygarde started developing Weird Complicated Feelings About Its Purpose as a result of its "failure" irt dealing with AZ and the Ultimate Weapon (it was still weak and "new" back then. there was little it could have done). These feelings are a huge part of what lead to Utana existing. Too complex and difficult for it to deal with, so it shed these feelings.
