It was actually my birthday on the 8th, however we have been quite busy these past weeks so today is my delayed celebration. A lot has changed this past year. I hope to continue to better my voice and meet new interesting people.

Updates: Notes on Music, Utau, and Our Boy, Prism

((I was working on making more original music for Utaus and I’ve come to the conclusion that this was not something I could do by myself just yet. I could get vocals set with lyrics OR BG music all ready and yet I am not experienced enough to put it all together. My main problem is getting the two to fit timing-wise. Utau is already difficult for me trying to time how songs go. I can think of a song in my head and map out the notes, but I cannot tell you how long each note should be held and how long before the next note should be sung. BG music is easier in that sense. The program I have been using gives you a sheet with bars and I can manage patterns in the notes, but Utau isn’t as merciful. Before I can do anything nice, I can only manage mostly sick beats with a few lyrics, or a simple lyrical song with one or two BG instruments. Either way I need practice.

Another thing to mention is the condition of Primi and Priam. To keep it short- they’re bad. At least with the level of work I’m willing to put into them. With music practice, I don’t have time to focus on perfecting two more voice banks when Prism still isn’t great. First of all, Primi is so bad, I had to redo her twice- high notes are difficult because my voice sounds weird high and the mic I use doesn’t pick it up nicely causing some problems in Utau. PRIAM on the other hand. I recorded his notes and his voice sounds pretty good for a first try. A deep voiced Utau is just what I wanted. However, he sounds mighty robotic and some of his notes are inconsistent or missing. Nevertheless, I love what I have for him so far and as much as I wanted Primi for harmony, Priam could do BG for Prism just as well. Man, I’m a fan of Priam (but he’s on hold for now).

I covered notes on music, utau, and now for Prism. (Just noticed the possible pun in the title. Heh, notes on music.) Since I will be starting school soon, I will have less time for Prism, BUT as you may have noticed, I am spending less time on him now. This is because of many reasons (summer is ending so I’m getting the “goofing off” out of my system. Also I discovered a butt ton of Xbox points that I didn’t redeem and I’m playing it up. I have to use up all this freedom. Also don’t quote me on this, but I have a comic idea that I really want to consider pursuing in the future so I’m spending time thinking about that and all). I wish to keep updating Prism and experimenting with music, but at a slower pace, of course. As I don’t get many asks, I can make this work no problem. Though we will accept any asks at all yes, send those, give me more Prism to work on. Also any asks give me art practice which I need dearly (*see sloppy art at the bottom. I should really put more effort and pride into my visuals.)

All in all, Utau work will continue through the pain! Let us look forward to what Prism will have to offer in the future.))
