Fic rec time!
Sometimes things pass by on my dash that I feel the need to check out. I don't read every fic out there by any stretch, but I read an ungodly amount. Probably far more than is truly good for me. But let's not get me sidetracked here.
I started reading Sweet! A Love Story Told In Sugar on LJ today and it is utterly delightful so far. I am just a short ways into it, but you know that feeling you get when you find something good? I haz it.
It is a WIP, for those that prefer not to start fics until they are complete. And it is AU where Kurt and Blaine didn't meet in high school. In fact, where I am in the story, they haven't met face to face yet at all. But the build up is so fantastic, so exquisite, so sweet that my mouth is literally watering. In this story, Kurt owns a bakery. (Lest anyone wonder, this is very different from Syrup and Honey, which is another delightful read I recommend people check out.) Blaine ends up in it by chance and meets Kurt's assistant Trice, who I may or may not have a total crush on, and she gives him a cupcake on the house. Thus the beginning and I am really excited to read more.
Another selling point here is that the authors have graciously included the recipes they write about, and I am fairly itching to try some of them out. I want my own mouthgasm, thank you!
So, go, check it out. I myself will get right back to it and read until I reach the end of what's written, then stalk my LJ waiting for notification of an update. Happy reading!
