odessa didn’t have the best start coming into this world. she was born prematurely with underdeveloped lungs , so she had to stay in the NICU for about a week. her mother passed away a few hours after childbirth due to complications , but her last request was for her one and only child to be named odessa , the name of the city where she grew up. 

her father , already the abusive big bitch that he was, blamed odessa for her mother’s death since day one. 

growing up in their small trailer , he treated her like anything but his daughter. he was physically and verbally abusive , always taking his drunken anger out on her. however , the only thing that really stuck with her was him calling her a killer , as if she purposefully murdered her own mother. it didn’t do a lot to help in the mental health department !!!

through it all , she stayed like a light. a ray of sunshine. she wanted to be everything her father wasn’t , and that meant staying positive through it all. she tried her best to be a good person , putting everyone and everything before her own self because that’s what a good person does in her book !!!

the only thing that kept her sane was video games. she had a secondhand ps3 that she bought herself from her many days of dog-walking and played it religiously. it didn’t matter what game , she loved them all. from gta v to fallout 3 , she was all over that shit !!!  her friends suggested she make a youtube channel and despite how silly it sounded to her , she made one. it was just a hobby but by the time she was 18 , she had over two million subscribers. 

after gaining some more of a following and that youtube money started rolling in more steadily , she got up and left amarillo and moved to l.a. when she was twenty. it was a big culture shock to move from a small texas city to one of the biggest and most populated cities in america , but it gave her freedom. freedom from her father , her now ex-boyfriend , and from all the haunting memories that were left behind. 

since then , her following has only grown. it’s hard to stick out in the gaming community , but her calm approach to games is a breath of fresh air. she keeps her cool throughout her gameplays and keeps blowups to a minimal , so people find it hilarious when she snaps and starts cursing at the screen.
