ugh so i didnt read the paper for this thing correctly what i want to do is test out of comp I and go straight to comp II which would be easy, bc im a great writer but the test, instead of an essay, it's a summary of an essay i can't summarize for shit apparently the goal is to show the student can demonstrate: - correct sentence - logical organization including paragraph development and thesis statement - support for ideas with relevant details, examples, or evidence - uses of sources without plagiarizing so why require the person to summarize an essay????? summarization has little to no impact on someone's ability to demonstrate these things so how exactly is this an accurate way of showcasing a student's ability to write when it heavily relies on the ability to summarize in the first place??
