I just ran into some comments under some posts related to this, and I see this happening a lot.

Which reminds me, happened to me too actually. There was this anon ask I've received a while ago being like "you're a BatFamily fan so leave the Titans alone" like ????? NO???

I mean, yes, I am a BatFamily fan. But it doesn't mean I'm only into BatFamily stuff. I like Green Arrow, Canary, Green Lanterns, Zatanna, Constantine, The Justice League, Shazam and many other DC related stuff.

Genuinely I was a Titans fan when the only BatFamily members I knew were Batman, Robin (Dick), Batgirl, Bat-Girl and Batwoman (Kathy).

What's funny is that yes, in my top 10 favorite DC characters there are six BatFamily characters... But others aren't BatFam related, lol. I don't think some even makes it into the top 15 even if I love them dearly😭🙏

Anyways omg. People genuinely act like ALL BatFamily fans are only into that and only that.

I do know some are. Sometimes because of fanfictions, sometimes because of WFA, but that doesn't mean everyone is like that.

And seriously some people says it as if it's an insult...? Even if they are only into BatFamily what's the problem? Or what's the problem in getting into other DC characters? Are we seriously gatekeeping now?😃

This issue especially exists between BatFamily and Titans fans, from what I know.

Ahem anyways. Man, I've seen comments between those fans... I've seen some people acting like if you prefer one you absolutely cannot be into the other. Like, you HAVE to pick just one, how dare you liking both?

I've seen lots of comments being like "yeah but you're a BatFamily/Titans fan so you can't speak about Titans/BatFamily". Which is... Baffling, please never listen to those people. You don't need to pick between one, and you can absolutely talk about whatever you want (keep it legal tho lol).

Just because x person prefers BatFamily more than any other DC character/Team/Family, it doesn't mean they don't like other DC content. And of course this goes for the same way around. Being more into something else doesn't mean you can't like anything else too.

There's just the idea that you gotta pick only one... And it's wrong, you don't have to. Like everything you want to like, geez.

Wild that someone gotta say this.
