He was right, Momo knew that. Nakamura had good intentions but the fact that he lingered outside long after they had said their goodbyes rubbed her the wrong way.

She was relieved Shouto hadn't acted on his instincts, even if that resulted in him getting hurt. They were already on thin ice with the law, so to speak. Fighting outside a well-known restaurant was the last thing they needed.

"You assume I wouldn't have been a match for you." Nakamura challenged, much to Momo's surprise and dismay. He glared back. "As for me jumping to conclusions...what was I supposed to think upon seeing you hold hands in the dark? Other that you were making a pass at my date."
