A wearable UV monitor for your skin
What is it? My UV Patch from L’Oreal’s La Roche Posay and MC10: a small and colourful patch that users stick to their skin, and which slowly changes colour with when exposed to UV. It partners with an app to quantify the wearer’s UV exposure.
It’s good because it’s a great example of wearable technology – it’s breathable, water and sweat-resistant, and can be worn for up to three days. It’s also sunscreen-compatible, and can even use NFC technology to talk with your smartphone!
