Been a while since I posted and was really feeling the new henna brows today. People have always made fun of them bad. Funny tho when getting this done (it makes the hair dark) I was told I have by esthetician standards I have naturally perfect thick shaped brows just not easy to see because I'm a strawberry blonde, so guess all of you who take the piss out of me due to my "invisabrows" can offically F off (Ps I dont support James Charles in light of what he did just love the colors in pallete) #hennabrows #carylbakervisage #browsonfleek #brows #makeup #morephe #jamescharlespallete #anastasiabeverlyhills #larocheposay #larocheposayskincare #milkcosmetics #nyxcosmetics #benefitbrows #snatch&lift #vicyskincare #vichycanada #alternativegirl #redhead #strawberryblonde #strongmakeupgame #makeupaddict #articfoxhaircolor #lushskincare #yvesroche #yvesrocheskincare https://www.instagram.com/p/CRmeQipJTds/?utm_medium=tumblr

Skin Care Products and Tips!
Hello again, back here with another one! I’ve struggled with my skin since I was a teenager (I’m 27 now). Within the last few months I’ve nailed down some skin care products, tips, and other things that I’ve found really helpful for keeping my skin clear and acne-free (hormonal breakouts aside). I must preface this by saying that genetics, your diet, and environmental factors definitely contribute to skin issues and sometimes these things can be out of your control, I understand that. But I do recommend drinking A LOT of water every day and trying to eat a healthy diet whenever you can. As far as products I put on my skin, the first thing I want to mention is a standout product: Origins Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gel ($19 at Ulta). I LOVE this stuff. If I ever see a zit popping up, I apply this bad boy and 90% of the time the zit never fully rears its ugly head. It’s a miracle. I swear by this stuff and I apply it to my zit “hot spots” on my face daily, even if there are no active breakouts. Better safe than sorry! I also use prescription strength Benzoyl Peroxide, but my dermatologist told me that the Neutrogena 10% Benzoyl Peroxide cream (Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Spot Gel, $6.89 at Target) is exactly the same as the prescription I receive. The next three products are all facial cleansers. The first that I use daily is the CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser for Normal to Oily Skin ($14.99 at Target). This is a great and gentle cleanser that has ceramides to help keep your skin in check, and it’s dermatologist recommended. Winning. The next is an essential step for me as well, and I use this both day and night as well. It’s the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin ($14.99 at Ulta). A little goes a LONGGGG way with this, so the tube will last you forever. I feel like this has definitely made a difference with keeping my skin clear and smooth. It has salicylic acid, which I have found definitely helps with any whiteheads but can also help slow the growth of those nasty cystic zits. I definitely recommend this product as well. The final cleanser I swear by is an exfoliator. Exfoliation is SO important for sloughing off those dead skin cells and unclogging those pores. It is the Clinique Pep Start 2-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser ($19.50 at Ulta). This stuff is very gentle, not like those St. Ives exfoliators we all used in our youth that basically scraped the skin off of our faces. It’s gentle but effective, and my skin feels so smooth after use. To wrap up the skincare products, I use serums and moisturizers. My primary concern at this point is anti-aging, so if you don’t need that you can skip over that part and just know that I love the CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion for Normal to Dry Skin ($12.59 at Target). Effective, gentle, made with ceramides, and it doesn’t make my oily skin even oilier. It’s oil-free as well. For anti-aging, I use Paula’s Choice RESIST Intensive Wrinkle-Repair Retinol Serum, $42 on her website, paulaschoice.com. This is a pricier product, but as far as retinols go it’s affordable. I love the silkiness of this serum and the fact that it doesn’t make my skin sensitive after use. Made with retinols and antioxidants, it’s a winner. Now I’m definitely not a dermatologist but I’ve tried so many OTC and prescription topicals, creams, serums and treatments over the years with little-to-no success with clearing up my acne. I’m on birth control to help control my acne, and that did little to stop the breakouts, especially hormonal ones. Finally last June I bit the bullet and, at the recommendation of my dermatologist, started taking Spironolactone. I was worried about the side effects, specifically weight gain. But I’ve not had any side effects in the almost year I’ve been taking it, and it has cleared up my skin marvelously. My dose has had to be adjusted to get me where I am today but I’m so happy that I found something that really works. Again, I’m not a dermatologist and I am not suggesting that anyone needs to take this medication in order to achieve clear skin, but it is definitely another viable option. Something to think about! I hope this post was helpful to you and you can try out some of these products. Let me know how they work for you if you do! Thanks for reading!
Back from Vegas and thrilled to be home with my Ash🐶 and all my full- sized products, lol. When I travel, I usually like to take sample packets and try new things, but this time I took as many of my BR products as I could so that I could continue my regular routines. I’m glad that I did, because I don't want any new product- related surprises pop up on my face while I'm on vacation. I regret not taking better shampoo and conditioner, though. I ended up using what I brought for my family and my hair ended up being straw- dry. Should've taken my Olaplex or Briogeo shampoo and conditioner duos. Won't make that mistake again! ________ I also forgot deodorant, which made me panic silently during our drive to hot AF LV, but I remembered @fanserviced's @racked article on using acid toners to fight against armpit odor, so I ended up using P50 PIGM400 on my pits. 😆 ______ I'll post a link to fanserviced's @racked post in my Stories, definitely give it a read and give her a follow if you're not already following her! I adore Tracy, she is one of my favorite beauty bloggers. She does amazing research on pretty much everything she does and she's straightforward (and hilarious), so I trust and enjoy her reviews and observations. ________ Here's my #skincareroutine from this morning, Sunday 7/28/19 1️⃣Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser*, this uses apricot seed powder for a gentle scrub. I like to use a mild physical exfoliant every once in a while, but I don't use a scrub AND an acid toner in the same routine since that will probably cause irritation. My thick, oily skin can handle (and loves) frequent exfoliation, but I don't want to push my luck 2️⃣Missha FTE Mist 3️⃣Serum Placenta, NP 4️⃣Paula's Choice C15 Super Booster* 5️⃣Skinmedica Lytera 2.0 6️⃣Volition Celery Green Cream* 7️⃣La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Light Mineral SPF 50 8️⃣Homeoplasmine for lip balm 9️⃣Tata Harper lip tint ________ * = PR/Gifted #missha#tataharper#paulaschoice#larocheposay#skinmedica#homeoplasmine#beautygram#kbeauty#koreanskincare#frenchbeauty#frenchskincare#volition#volitionbeauty#frenchpharmacy#skincarejunkie#skincareobsessed#skincarelover#oilyskincare#beautylover#beautyroutine https://www.instagram.com/p/B0eFF2bgVAP/?igshid=4gk6chrsxpn4
