Grell was inspired by trans celebrities in japan. Those celebrities didn't have their gender and pronoun respected before they got body changed. That's the only difference between japan and the west. You need surgery for people to accept that you're a woman. There's literally an entire manga done by Yana where Grell tries to steal magic bow to change her body with literal prediction diagram where she has big breasts etc. How is that gay?? Gay men don't want sex change into big boob wife lol.

We also have to remember that Japan is still a highly homophobic and transphobic society.

So talking directly about tansgendering in a manga is super hard for a mangaka.

But yea, she is a goddamn "she" in any fucking way lmao
