19, october
So the half term is officially over! It was full of adventures, surprises and of course, studying (thanks, IB).
UWC is completely different from what I expected. It is different in every way imaginable.
I only realised the power of diversity in our school in September, after almost a month in Singapore. It was UWC day, 7.30 in the morning and we were all eating breakfast in Santai (the cafe), in our national costumes. Some of us were wearing big, colourful dresses, T-Shirts with our flags or Julia, the amazing German scholar (who is in 12th grade now), who dressed up as a refugee, wearing only clothes that other people gave her (since no-one gave her shoes, she was walking around the school barefoot all day). So we were sitting around a big table, all dressed up, eating breakfast when I looked up. I saw all these people sitting next to me, from at least 12-15 different countries, talking and smiling at each other. I didn't say a word. I was just sitting there, thinking of how lucky I am to be here.
Thank you, UWC
End of half term!
Little Artists Exhibition at TEDx UWCSEA, Singapore
Little Artists had the opportunity to be associated with TEDx at the United World College of Southeast Asia (UWCSEA) and showcase the talent of your young artists through an exclusive art exhibition. TEDx events often serve as platforms for sharing innovative ideas and fostering creativity, making it an excellent setting to display the work of budding artists. Such collaborations can help inspire and promote the arts, as well as provide young artists with a valuable platform to share their creativity with a wider audience. If you have any questions or if there's anything specific you'd like to know or discuss about this event or your involvement, please feel free to ask- https://little-artists.com/
