Prof. Zygmunt Bauman 1925-2017. Few months ago I wrote a loose screenplay for a documentary movie, first one in my life. Knowing that it’ll need somebody who can explain why history is not an objective thing, I started to think how great it would be to interview prof. Bauman. He is one of the greatest minds in sociology, a social philosopher of Polish origin. I really loved this idea. This photograph was taken in 2013, when right-wing hooligans of Śląsk Wrocław tried to block prof. Bauman’s guest lecture on University of Wroclaw. I hope that Bauman’s ideas out-spread local historical controversies around his youth. I am still amazed of how bright and on-time was his thinking despite his age, and how actual was this lecture once it finally started.

Życie na uniwersytecie w tym semestrze szykowało się tak dobrze. Ciekawe zajęcia, mili prowadzący, piękna pogoda, perspektywa wyjazdu na konferencje.

A potem przyszła zaraza.

W tej chwili wszystko odbywa się przez laptopa i to mnie męczy - nauka, praca, rozrywka, kontakt z przyjaciółmi. W efekcie czuję się jakbym nic nie robiła - bo wszystko zamyka się w posadzeniu tyłka przed laptopem.

Ale najgorzej to jest jak wykładowczyni ci mówi, że się tobą rozczarowała.

Jakby, nie jest pani jedyna. Ja też się sobą rozczarowałam.
