I am a woman. A female. A haver of two X chromosomes. I am confident but not too confident. Confidence isn’t sexy or appealing, I need to have the slightest dent to my self esteem so a man can come along and validate my appearance and existence. I am independent but I can’t say that because I need to rely on a man. I am single but I need to get married and have children because it is my duty. A childless woman is cold and bitter. I am sexy, but not too sexy. I can’t be a tease, leave things to the imagination but don’t be a prude. Men don’t like women who are stuck up about their body. I am a fighter but I wasn’t strong enough. My voice had shrank and I left missing my pride. I was asking for it, my clothing too revealing. How could men keep their hands off me? I am a girl in a woman’s body in a man’s world.

i’m losing my mind over the lack of a v*rgin river fandom on tumblr. i can’t be the only person obsessed with this slow-paced, comfort show.
i just finished virgin river on netflix and it was so good! they changed things from the books (which I love) but i think a lot of the changes actually worked well and it seems like they’re meshing storylines together for more drama. all the hope and doc stuff... amazing! the casting for everyone is perfect. there’s little things that bother me but anyone who hasn’t read the books wouldn’t care. i hated where they ended the first season so there better be more. i didn’t know that i was on the last episode and then it ended and i was so upset. we were just getting to some huge events! ugh. i highly recommend checking it out. i’m a little biased because i already love these characters and the town but i think it was a really solid season with intriguing plots and suspense and romance and angst.
