I am, of course, writing to congratulate you on your secretive and undoubtedly terrible nuptials.
Please take this moment to remind Jonah James Elias that I have, LONG ago, told him this day would come, and that he should put more confidence in my ( evident ) foresight. If you are not so wedded to your otherworldly obligations as to abandon all husbandly duties, please, do the rest of the world a favour, and keep Jonah your dearly recently-wedded as far as possible from the rest of humanity.
Yours in friendship,
enclosed: a list of Jonah Magnus’s numerous transgressions against humanity, decency, and the planet in general, as well as the most kitsch nautical-themed home décor possible.

Iᴛ's ᴜɴsᴜʀᴘʀɪsɪɴɢʟʏ, really, to find his most dear husband already occupying his work space, even without Looking. It wouldn't be a surprise to him either way; too long to have a sense for when Conall would demand his attention in one way or another, and at least this is preferable to threats right off the bat. Maybe they are even having a civil conversation. (Wishful thinking, and he's already considering various ways to antagonize him, out of nothing more than boredom and habit.)
"Are you taking over my Institute again?" No greeting, nor any warmth in his voice. "In that case, the financial report is most urgent, I'd suggest starting with that. Or what gives me the honors now, beloved."
“I don’t know why you’re looking at me like that.”
The light of this dreamy illusion of Amaurot cuts across his face, glints in his eyes; sharp, alert. Lips part, he breathes, actually breathes, drags his tongue over the back of his teeth and over the roof of his mouth. Fingers twitch, they itch to reach behind him and pluck his axe from his back, to land that killing blow once more.
He should be dead, Ardbert thinks, and then with harsh clarity he remembers: But so should I.
How oddly alike they are, dead men walking, drowning in their loneliness—but Ardbert isn’t alone anymore. After so long, he isn’t alone anymore, whereas Emet-Selch still suffers quietly, his sadness and his rage glacial. Longing for a time that will never return, a place and a people that he misses so much it may kill him all over again.
Ardbert thinks he might pity him and his eternity of loneliness.
Maybe.
He works his jaw, stops himself from grinding his teeth ( an awful habit he’s picked up since his resurrection; he keeps waking up with the coppery tang of blood on his tongue ), and clenches his hands into tight fists.
“— Did you not learn the first time?” Against all odds, he manages to keep his voice level. “This isn’t your story.”

She tilted head, curious to the strands of light that appeared hidden under what looked like bunny ears of a headdress. But the woman tried to appear not to pay mind. "Mm. My apologies, sir. He was rather secretive. Though..." a hand brushed along her own cheek in thought. "I must say. He was looking around hastily. You wouldn't suppose something was stolen from him too? They say a thief has been about the common quarters of late."
A thief, hm? Yes, he’s heard murmurings of that. A man named Hayazo, if he’s not mistaken. Someone ought to take care of it, but he’s terribly preoccupied for the most part. However, should his men not be able to handle a petty thief? Especially if he’s stolen from them? Has he not trained them well enough? Waka clicks his tongue. Much to think about.
“Well, I suppose I’ll have to see what the problem is.” It must be urgent if they’re looking for him. Even with the sickness gone from the city, tensions are still high and people are still worried. The evil has not yet been wiped from the lands. When he stands upon the shores of the coast, he can see Oni Island in a different spot each morning. A great, ominous shadow in the distance.
Waka taps his chin and flashes a crooked smile. One hand sweeps his fringe aside, his fingers shimmering.
“Merci, mademoiselle. He may have not found me without your help.”
He’s made a point to be difficult to track down in general. For... reasons.
“ i feel like we already know this , but in case someone tries to put blame , “ there’s a glance toward jia for a moment , then he shifts his gaze to focus on them both . “ this isn’t my fault . ” though , he’s admittedly the last person who could be blamed . after all , it’s not like he caused the odd storm that hit them from seemingly nowhere . & he wasn’t why they were dropped in the middle of somewhere they probably shouldn’t be . but he wanted to be safe .
though it wasn’t so much where they are now , but when . after a quick check that they actually made it out of the storm okay , that they were safe , the next move the three had was figuring out what was going on . he’s not sure who actually stumbled on the year first , but there was something unsettling knowing they were now stuck in 2015 .
“ now that’s cleared up ------ what do we do now ? ” / @jiaycng

it wasn’t that sylvia didn’t like pelican town. it was just that she didn’t understand, not really, why she had to come here for the whole summer. her first two weeks, she couldn’t sleep because the farm was just too.. quiet. it was too dark. she wasn’t scared of the dark! she was nine years old, she didn’t get scared of anything.
but dad said she had to stay with grandpa during the summer, and so she packed her bags and rode the bus (by herself, this time) all the way to stardew valley, and finally, to pelican town. and grandpa was there to pick her up, like he was last year, and probably would be for forever. all of which led her to this moment.
“c’mon, seb!” soft hands tugged on the other girl’s, eager to show off her latest discovery. she’d saved a frog from near death (dramatic, as always) and it had laid a clutch of eggs in the tank she kept it in. “you’re gonna love it, i promise!”
“It’s going to be a fine night tonight.” He commented, staring up into the clear and moonlit skies. Scattered with an endless array of stars. Only the sound of leaves rustling in the wind as it gently blew. He felt at EASE for the first time in months since he’s found himself past the mountains of the East. He settled near the young lady. “And it should be a fine day tomorrow.” ˗ˏˋ @elderheir
