Maybe it’s just me, but Glee, the show has been off air for over five years now. So why are we so loyal to it? Our community is nowhere near as active as it once was and there are so many people who have attempted to breathe new life into the community and it just seems to go unnoticed or no one is interested. FC preferences/rules towards canon faces are still concrete.

People get stuck in a perpetual age range, shying away from any plots that have the characters older than 25 (and if were gonna continue to use these faces, then let’s be real, they’re all in their 30s and they /look/ it), and its like we’ve gotten very comfortable with the same. Heck, I vaguely remember a racebent glee rp years ago, giving new, more diverse fcs to the characters we loved and we slept on that. I’m not criticizing or saying “join these rps!” or anything like that, but I’m just genuinely curious as to why there hasn’t been any real growth in the community. It’s the same as it was 9 years ago only gif sizes has changed.

If people start changing Ryder’s FC because of recent events, really hope y’all are gonna remember he’s half Cuban. Let’s respect everyone’s ethnicities people.

Cory Monteith died four and a half years ago, and people have been using his FC for four years without anyone saying it's problematic, or it shouldn't be done. Now people want to have an opinion and say it's "disrespectful". I think it's wrong for people to shun rpers who want to still use his FC. You want to put him on the list of problematic FCs along with Mark who is a predator. The same with Naya. If people want to use these two, then let them do whatever makes them happy.

I think it’s stupid to say it’s wrong to use Cory as a FC because he passed away. I completely understand not doing it for triggering reasons if someone is uncomfortable with i but saying it’s the same as underage FC is just not right. And quite frankly, it’s ignorant. Do you also condem those who make gif sets of him? Photo sets? Those who reog those things? No. Get off your high horse because you don’t make sense.

I’ve said it once, I’ll keep shouting it from my grave. If you’re playing a canon character with a recast fc, you’re not playing that character. You’re playing an OC that you named after a canon character. #sorrynotsorry

I’m my opinion, you can use Naya as a FC for Santana up until she has been convicted. Innocent until proven guilty or has Tumblr just completely forgotten about that part?

Everyone's entitled to pick their own fcs when playing Finn, Puck, and Santana, but it feels so weird to play alongside a fc that you just don't feel fits the character.

While I think many groups ban Cory and Naya out of fear of being attacked or wanting to seem woke, I think everyone's making it a much bigger deal than it needs to be. It's RP! Who cares if you don't use gifs of Naya or Cory? I'm personally not offended by the use of any of the banned FCs, even Mark, but a lot of people are honestly uncomfortable seeing those faces. It's not fair to hurt them. If you're a good enough player, you can still write them IC with different FCs. Save it for your 1x1s!

Super huge shout out to the rps who allow their characters to have storylines such as abuse, drug use, etc. but then think they're being sensitive to others and "woke" by banning Naya and Cory. You guys are the real MVPs.
