As if he wasn’t already bleeding enough when they had subdued him, now his wounds might as well be gushing with blood which formed a puddle where he laid against the wall of the ship.

“I know, baby” This wasn’t a tantrum where Ayn’s cries, high with outrage and grief assailed her mother’s ears and she kicked and flailed. This was far worse and Juno had no words to help.  All she could do was hold her child tight, and whisper to her, and hope that Ayn didn’t realize that the tears falling onto her hands weren’t hers alone. “I know baby, I know.”

Hey mom..... How did dad get his scar? I I mean, he won't tell me so I thought I'd ask you. He was really nice today he actually smiled at me and didn't frown as usual. He's finally lightening up!.. I think(With wolffe as the dad also, love you! )

With a sigh, Juno looked up from the dishes and with drew her hands from the water, wiped them clean before bending to brush back her daughter’s curls. “Cyar’ika, I’m going to tell you a secret, Ok? Most of the time, when boys have a scar, they want to tell you how they got it, sometimes, they’ll even make up stories about how they got it, they want to tell you so bad. If they don’t want to tell you, that means they really want to keep that secret, ok? And you can’t just keep asking after that.  So if dad says he doesn’t want to tell you, he really means it and you can’t keep asking him. If you do that, for us, we’ll do the same for you. ok?” Straightening up she handed her the drying towel and a plate to wipe, “It’s good that you two are getting along better. He does love you, very much. He just isn’t sure how to show it all the time.” She smiles at her and bends down again, leaving a dollup of suds on her daughter’s nose “Like saying it with bubbles!”
