POSE, FLASH, REPEAT → FAMOUS
She didn’t sign up for this. Layla had gone off to college with the hopes of doing her degree, and even thought that maybe she’d go on to law school. She’d worked hard the first few years, taking full advantage of her eidetic memory. Ever since the idea of law school had been put in her head by her roommate in her freshman year, it seemed to make so much sense. It had never been something that she’d thought of before, but for the first time in her life she’d felt like she was going in the right direction. She had goals, and not just the ones that her family had put in place for her.
She’d met Sam Evans in one of her classes during freshman year. They hadn’t hit it off right away, they weren’t all that similar, but after a couple of months they had been paired together for an assignment and started to spend more time together. Once the assignment was handed in, they continued to spend more time together, and it wasn’t long before they were dating one another – you know what they say about opposites attracting after all. Things seemed to be so easy in those days, before both of their worlds changed completely, almost overnight.
It had only taken one photograph. One photograph had caught the right persons eye, and suddenly Sam’s world changed, and as a consequence so did Layla’s. Sam was being called to kickstart his career and thrown into fame, and he was more than willing to take that chance. With a passion for something like photography, careers and fame didn’t always come knocking, so when it did you definitely had to answer. Layla’s love for Sam was strong, and because of that she decided to follow where he went. He was able to provide for her, and she was able to continue her studies as she had wanted, and the perfect life was practically hers on a plate. She was known to the world as Sam Evans’ girlfriend, and that world seemed to come with perks.
Now, she was enjoying the life that she had, as much as she could. Her life meant that she was able to be on set with her boyfriend all the time, something that she took advantage of as much as she could when there were times where Sam would be called to the other side of the world for who knows how long. On the plus side, it meant that she was able to meet the number of celebrities that Sam photographed, and today was no different. In the studio was one of the winners of America’s Next Top Model – a series that she and Sam had watched together before his rise to fame. It almost seemed surreal, but surreal was just part of their lives now.
As the shoot seemed to take a break, Layla took the time to grab a bottle of water for herself, and an extra for Sam. Or rather, it would have been for Sam had he not taken off to go and discuss something or other with one of the directors of the shoot. Instead, the blonde looked towards the model and handed the bottle out towards him as an offering gesture. “These photos look really great by the way. I mean, not that I would really know if they sucked or not, but to an outsider they look pretty great.” She said with a smile, before unscrewing the cap of her water bottle.
