Olenna knew she could find Cersei somewhere drinking. That’s all Cersei ever did these days. Olenna couldn’t blame her. Too many things have happened since Joffery’s death. Of course, Olenna had quite a part to play in that death. That was something she kept to herself. Tyrion was the scape goat. Olenna wasn’t going to correct anyone on that.
It was late and Olenna knew she should retire to her chambers. However, she wanted to find Cersei. Olenna’s cup of wine was running low, even though it had just been refilled. She knew Cersei might have some to spare. That would be a long shot. Cersei was very protective over her wine.
Olenna also wanted a drink with someone. It had been years since she had a “drinking buddy” as some called it. Perhaps Olenna could establish common ground with Cersei. It would be better than having exchanges of rude comments.
Olenna knocked on the door of Cersei’s study, hoping she would answer. She probably wouldn’t if she was already asleep. Perhaps she would enjoy her company. No, she wouldn’t enjoy Olenna’s company. That would be the last thing Cersei would want.
