“Mirana, we can’t keep doing this,” Jefferson whispered, his eyes scanning the hallway. They’d been sneaking around like this for only a week or so, but the possibility of being caught was increasing every time they met like this. His thoughts of what would be done to them if they were discovered kept him awake at night. But seeing her, kissing her... Whatever these feelings were that had developed between them, he almost felt like it was worth the risk. However, though he was willing to put himself in danger, he still worried for her. “If we get caught like this, I won’t be the only one who is punished,” he said softly, his hand reaching up to tuck a lock of hair behind her ear.

Jefferson looked around at his newfound surroundings, trying to take it all in. He’d just been in his hat room back in Wonderland, finishing his latest creation, believing it was all to no avail. Before he knew what was happening, he found himself blinking his eyes open to a whole new world.
Though he believed himself to be alone, as he turned to explore more he saw a woman standing there looking at him. Raising an eyebrow, he took a few steps towards her. “Could you tell me where I am?”
@dxckworth: sent in a meme that SOMEBODY fucked up. So have this rambly feelsy thing in which the ship is having emotions.
✋ my muse plays with your muse's hair
Somewhere along the line, there had been a shift. Something that dangerously tiptoed around the line of friendship and something more. It had been there since the Ship had come back to Wonderland. Since that hug that lingered just a little too long and the short kiss that lingered afterward.
And Jolly would be full of it if she said she hadn’t thought about that day often. It was the reason her face lit up each time she saw him.
She’d been staring at him for far too long now. Hat, for some reason, misplaced and hair a rich chestnut coloured mess on the top of his head. No clue what he had been talking about or if he had been talking at all.
Finishing her tea, Jolly stood and made her way over to his desk, perching herself on the edge in front of him and without saying anything, she reached a hand up to brush fingers through his hair. Softer than what she had thought, even if it wasn’t her first time carding through it. This situation a bit different from the rest though. A soft smile on her lips and the hand smoothed it’s way down the back of his head and came to settle at his neck. Jolly probably should have pulled away. Made some stupid excuse and apologized, laughing it off. But instead she simply kept hold of that dark gaze, her own sea coloured eyes blinking. “Name?” A simple request, or so one would think, she’d known him for quite some time now and while he knew the basics of who and what she was, all she had on him was a shady tea business and some nonsensical name. “Please-- I just... If you trust me enough to keep a secret, I’d really like to know.”
' Do you want me to get you anything? ’ :3

Jolly merely shook her head and curled tighter into his pillow. His pillow, in his bed. Full of all sorts of wonderful Hatter scented things and what Jolly insisted was the best place for a ship to get rid of whatever she’d come down with. It’d been the first time since taking human form she’d ever been sick. After years upon years of shifting from one to another she had been convinced it wasn’t possible.
Perhaps it just wasn’t probable. Seeing as here she was. Head feeling as if it weighed as much as her old self and ever so cold. She didn’t want any sort of teas brewed from someone else to make her better, she’d get over this on her own. Or so she hoped.
“You could stay--” she mumbled into the blankets, “Unless you’ve got things to do, I don’t want--” harshly interrupted by a coughing fit and Jolly had to take a few moments to catch her breath. “I don’t want to keep you if you’re busy.”
‘ Here hold my hand. ’

She’d been shot before. Oddly enough in a similar situation but back then her feelings about him had changed significantly. They shouldn’t have been sneaking around, but Jolly still had all that adventure built up inside of her and she really wanted to see what was up with that new structure that was going up far below the Tea Shop.
It hadn’t went well.
Her hand clamped down on his, breath shuddering and leaning into him heavily. They’d made it out, but she was still bleeding, a lot, and in a tremendous amount of pain. The tree at her back wasn’t helping matters. “Tie it off, or get it out!” She hadn’t meant to be so...demanding. A deep breath and Jolly did what she could to block out the pain, pulling what little magic she could muster to the area with a heavy swallow. “It’s okay-- I’m okay--” her breathing ragged, suddenly very tired. She placed the hand that had been clinging to her middle on his cheek, turning to give him a soft kiss. “There is only so much I can do, David, the quicker you patch it up, the better.” She hadn’t the heart to tell him she could feel how much worse this was than before

The wizard was still looking at the castle in awe. The journey to Arundell has been surprisingly pleasant for the young wizard, despite the long hours on the ship and the cold that had engulfed him as he set foot in the city. The scenery, the mountains, the city, and the castle itself. All so different than what he was used to. all so beautiful. He might have a hard time getting accustomed to the temperatures here, but the start seemed promising. He hoped to meet interesting people and have a wonderful experience.
He could barely wait to meet the young woman, future queen, that he had been summoned to help control her powers. It seems they were an unusual kind of magic, something only she could do. A new and interesting quest lay ahead of him. Yet, the first trial was to get inside the castle. He was standing just outside the gate, wondering what to do and how it was customary in this place to say you have an appointment with the future queen.
She couldn't sleep, to excited and restless to being their travels again, grey eye's remained on the sleeping man. She still expected him to change into a wolf at any moment but the sun was coming up so she didn't expect anything anytime soon.
"Jason." she whispered softly as she coaxed the sleeping wolf man awake.
"Wake up sleepy dog."
