The man who betrayed the First Order... Zam was breathless. It took a lot of guts to walk away from everything you knew. That was something she could empathize with. She’d had to turn her back on everything she knew when she escaped her enslavement on Zolan. She’d killed people then, people who were her whole world. And it had nearly destroyed her.
Zam approached the ex-stormtrooper after his recovery. “Hi,” she said. “I’m Zam. Zam Wesell. I know you get told how brave you are for turning your back on the First Order, and that’s pretty damn brave I admit, but... how’s your conscience doing?” She smiled softly. “I know a thing or two about leaving a life entirely. My kind...” She shifted into her green natural form momentarily to show what she meant, “we’re slaves on our homeworld. I had to lie, shoot, and blow my way into a hangar bay to get out. So, if you need someone to talk to about...betraying your old life or whatever...just...I’m in room 13C. It’s a few doors down from yours on the right.” She stood to leave.
