A sigh came from his lips as he pulled out a deck of playing cards. He knew he could still do it, especially if he could speak backwards. Zephyr spread the cards out in front of the other with a tired smile.
"Pick a card."

Zephyr settled onto his couch with a sigh, unbuttoning the top few buttons of his SDN mandated shirt and gesturing for the other to sit down. On the table was a large bottle of whiskey and two pizzas, with the former mage turning his head to look at Colm.
"You know, the last time we did this, things got a bit complicated."

Zephyr sighed, moving to press the Team Speak button on his headset and holding a finger up at Colm. "Good job today, team. Enjoy your time off." He remarked with that same calm near-monotone that he used at work before rolling himself away from his desk and taking off the headset.
"Ground rules. I choose the bar, and I'm buying. However," he added, "no talking about your team. If I have to hear one more complaint about any of them, I will launch myself out of the nearest window."
He was kidding. Mostly. Looking around, he reached into his desk and pulled a few things out when he saw that the coast was clear. They mostly seemed to be herbs along with a mortar and pestle, but Zephyr got to work either way. "If anyone asks, you didn't see anything." He remarked as he pulverized and mixed what he had. "Here's hoping this even works. Muta vestem tuam, mage."
He closed his eyes and blew into the bowl, focusing what magic he could as the dust swirled around his body. The SDN uniform shifted into a black and blue outfit for a night out. "Figured out I could still work the craft if I don't use any of...well..." He tapped the opaque blue gems on his cuff bracelets, implying the power contained within.
