Ledo had never seen this many people in one place in his life. Even the cramped hallways of his homebase hadn’t compared. His eyes were narrowed in frustration, but he forced himself to take a long breath. No... He couldn’t lose his cool now.
At least the air was breathable. Thankfully, Chamber had already done the scans the language used here and was able to replicate it, though he hadn’t spoken to anyone yet. No, it was much easier to stay in the shadows and observe the other humans going about. But he needed information if he was going to get back to the Alliance. He needed answers about where he was.
What could be heard of Ledo’s speech would be heard as gibberish. However, half a second later, a robotic voice spoke over him in clear Japanese. “Hello. Do you know where we are? I am afraid I am lost.”

A thin laser shot out of his pistol, slowly burning holes into the giant claw in his hand. At first, he hadn’t been sure why he’d bothered making these things. Sure, he’d enjoyed it. But doing things for amusement was a waste of resources: plain and simple. He should really stop.
He was sitting on the bench of a park, hunched over his work in progress. A few more holes and it would be finished. Maybe he’d be able to play it this time. However...maybe there’s something he was missing?
Amy and Bebel weren’t here to look at his instrument, but maybe someone else could. His gun was put away. His eyes drifted up and he watched the people milling around before spotting a young girl.
“Excuse me,” he said, the words sounding foreign on his tongue. “Do you think this instrument will work?”
