The Vagina Monologues
“It seems to me sometimes that soldiers With bloody not come fields, Not in our land perished once, But turned into white cranes…
They had hitherto with those distant times, Fly and give us voices… Not because, so often, and with sorrow, We fall silent, looking into the sky…”
“Zhuravli” (“Cranes”) perfomed by Mark Bernes
Heartbreaking music and lyrics…
Celebration with tears on eyes...
Happy V-Day! It’s the perfect day to commemorate those who defeated the Nazis in the Great Patriotic War.
Preferably by trolling Nazis. Remember: those little shits don’t call themselves ‘Nazis’, their poor fragile egos think it’s a ‘slur’, so search for ‘NatSoc’, ‘National Socialist’, ‘reactionary’, ‘traditional European’, &c. to weed them out.
I’m SO GLAD that Catherine Cabeen came to my show since I’d talked about it all throughout J-term so for her to come see it, especially on one of the better nights, and ostensibly like it, and hug me after, meant a great deal to me!
When I was asked to autograph the ‘The Vagina Monologues’ playbill, I did “KRT” and when I did it for people I loved I did it like JCM on the Sugar Daddies. Not because it’s legitimate- I know. But because that small thing is so representative of such a good time in my life and something so important to me, that I cannot go without making my own autograph signature an homage to something so representative of love!
My husband went to a local women-in-comics con last autumn when I was out of the state and he came back with a variety of cool stuff-- Ms. Marvel Vol 1, Squirrel Girl, a comic about Dr. Eugenie Clark, and Plesiosaurs and Pie. The last of these is a little book of line drawings and might be best described as “Harold and the Purple Crayon” with the surrealism cubed.
Well, my Valentine’s Day card from him was a beautiful image of a jellyfish done by the Plesiosaurs and Pie artist.

Why do people who are single get pissed at Valentine's Day? I stopped giving a crap about it and see, friendship is love too. So if I say Happy V-Day then I just wish you a nice fucking day where's the problem
OMG I’M RUNNING OUT OF TIME
