I think to myself “Gee, it sure would be nice if I could work on the actual WIPs I have, two of them just need minor touch-ups anyway...but writing on my laggy phone is a pain” and then I start writing this. Fuck my WIPs.
No one asked for the full version of my icon, but you’re getting the full version of my icon because I feel like uploading it. Proportions are more off than usual because I had to tilt my sketchbook like I was playing Super Marble Blast to get everything to show up on camera and not look washed-out. I really need to get better erasers, mine keep smudging the paper irreparably; hence why I gave up on that 1 hand before the entire thing became too gray to layer color over.
Is Basil in love with Victor here? Very much so. Did he slowly come to realize he loved him over the time period spanning 1970-1980 and then some? Yes. Will anything ever come of that? Unlikely. Are they still the best of friends, and would they die for one another without hesitating even a moment? Absolutely. Friendship does not often change with romantic or sexual attraction. [At least, it shouldn’t].
